PDIC Issues New Rules on Bank Advertisements with PDIC

The PDIC has issued Regulatory Issuance No. 2004 - 03, amending existing Rules and Regulations on Advertisement of Membership with PDIC. RI 2004-03 specifically amends Item Nos. 4 and 5 of RI 2004-01 which states that the official PDIC sign can be digitally/electronically displayed on the ATM screen as an alternative to the PDIC desktop or stickers. The official PDIC signage should appear on the computer screen prior to making electronic banking transactions. PDIC also requires member banks to post the PDIC sticker or signage prominently at all times including at the sites of the Automated Teller Machines. A soft copy of the authorized design and size may be requested at the Insurance Department or downloaded from the PDIC website.
