JUAN D. DE ZUñIGA, JR. Member Director Juan D. de Zuñiga, Jr. assumed office as a Private Sector Representative to the PDIC Board of Directors on 16 August 2021. He is no stranger to the intricacies of financial regulation as he was a former member of the Monetary Board of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), where he served from 2014 to 2020. He also served as the BSP General Counsel from 2000 to 2013 and BSP Deputy Governor from 2010 to 2013. An Independent Director at Philippine Airlines and Manila Bulletin, Atty. de Zuñiga is also a Senior Counsel at Divina Law Office. He is also a lecturer in the Philippine Judicial Academy. Atty. de Zuñiga placed fifth in the 1970 Bar Examinations. He earned his Bachelor of Laws and Political Science degrees from the Far Eastern University, which bestowed on him the outstanding alumnus award in 2018. |
