PDIC cancels Depositors-Borrowers Forum for the closed Rural Bank of Tibiao (Antique), Inc. on March 18 |

In consideration of the well-being of its clients and employees due to risks posed by COVID-19, the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) announced the cancellation of the Depositors-Borrowers Forum for the closed Rural Bank of Tibiao (Antique), Inc. scheduled on March 18, 2020. The PDIC advises depositors and borrowers to visit the PDIC website www.pdic.gov.ph for details on the requirements and procedures for filing deposit insurance claims and for settlement of loans. For more information, clients may contact the Public Assistance Public Assistance Department during office hours at telephone number (02) 8841-4141, or e-mail PDIC at pad@pdic.gov.ph. Depositors outside Metro Manila may call the PDIC Toll Free Hotline during office hours at 1-800-1-888-PDIC (7342). Inquiries may also be sent through a private message to the official PDIC Facebook account at www.facebook.com/OfficialPDIC. For more urgent concerns, depositors, borrowers and clients of Rural Bank of Tibiao (Antique), Inc. may visit the PDIC representatives stationed at the bank premises located on Gov. A. T. Lim Avenue, Poblacion, Tibiao, Antique until March 24, 2020 only. * * * * * The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) was established on June 22, 1963 by Republic Act 3591 to provide depositor protection and help maintain stability in the financial system by providing deposit insurance. Effective June 1, 2009, the maximum deposit insurance coverage is PhP500,000 per depositor. All deposit accounts by a depositor in a closed bank maintained in the same right and capacity shall be added together.
