PDIC to bid out HQ renovation on April 29 |

The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) will be procuring, via public bidding, the services of a construction firm for the renovation of its former headquarters along Chino Roces Ave. in Makati City. This procurement project has an approved budget of PhP362.3 million. The opening of bids is on April 29, 2019. Interested bidders may visit the PDIC website, www.pdic.gov.ph, or its Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) Secretariat at the 6th Floor, SSS Building, 6782 Ayala Avenue corner V.A. Rufino St., Makati City for more information on the project. The BAC may also be reached through telephone numbers (02) 841-4925 or (02) 841-4917 and e-mail address, bacsecretariat @pdic.gov.ph. The engagement of services of a seasoned and reputable General Contractor is required to renovate the existing eight-storey PDIC office building and construct two additional floors on the adjacent one-storey warehouse-type building. The project includes structural retrofitting and soil stabilization works. “We are hopeful that the renovation will be completed on time, as it would mean better facilities for the depositing public,” PDIC President Roberto B. Tan said. Bidders must comply with the requirements under the Government Procurement Reform Act or Republic Act 9184. The Terms of Reference and bidding documents for the project may be viewed and downloaded from the PDIC website. Bids shall be duly received by the BAC Secretariat at the Ground Floor, SSS Building, 6782 Ayala Avenue corner V.A. Rufino St., Makati City on or before April 29, 2019 at 2:00 PM. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security in any of the acceptable forms and in the amount stated to Instructions to Bidders. Bid opening shall be on April 29, 2019, 2:00 PM at the 8th Floor Board Room, SSS Building, 6782 Ayala Avenue corner V.A. Rufino St., Makati City. Effective June 1, 2009, the maximum deposit insurance coverage is PhP500,000 per depositor. All deposit accounts by a depositor in a closed bank maintained in the same right and capacity shall be added together.
