BSP Governor Diokno is new FSCC Chairman

The Financial Stability Coordination Council (FSCC), in its quarterly meeting held recently, welcomed its new Chairman, BSP Governor Benjamin E. Diokno, who replaced the late Governor and FSCC Chairman Nestor A. Espenilla, Jr. For his maiden meeting, Governor Diokno vowed to build on the progress of the FSCC as the venue for financial market authorities to identify, monitor, manage, and mitigate the build up of systemic risk in the Philippine financial system. The Meeting was participated in by Finance Secretary Carlos G. Dominguez, III (seated 2nd from L), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairperson Emilio B. Aquino (seated leftmost), and Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) President Roberto B. Tan (seated rightmost). Also in the meeting were (standing from L to R) PDIC Senior Vice President Romeo M. Mendoza, Jr., SEC Commissioner Ephyro Luis B. Amatong, Insurance Deputy Commissioner George S. Ongkeko, Jr., Finance Undersecretary Gil S. Beltran, BSP Deputy Governor Chuchi G. Fonacier, National Treasurer Rosalia V. De Leon, SEC Commissioner Antonieta F. Ibe, BSP Assistant Governor Johnny Noe E. Ravalo, Managing Director Mary Jane T. Chiong, Acting Director Eufrocinio M. Bernabe, Jr., and Director Dottie M. Bernas.
