Public Advisory on Acceptance of Offers for Purchase of EIB Properties

On 12 May 2017, an Order was issued by the Liquidation Court (RTC, Branch 149, Makati City) in Sp. Proc. No. M-7753 entitled Petition for Assistance in the Liquidation of Export and Industry Bank. This Order constrained PDIC, the Receiver of the closed Export and Industry Bank (EIB), to defer the sale of EIB properties, whether through public bidding or negotiated sale until 20 June 2017. PDIC thus withdrew ninety three (93) EIB properties for sale through public bidding, and removed from its website one hundred twenty one (121) EIB properties which were posted as available for negotiated sale.

During the 20 June 2017 hearing, another Order was issued by the Liquidation Court authorizing PDIC to proceed with the negotiated sale of EIB properties. Pursuant thereto, PDIC now accepts offers for the purchase of the EIB properties booked as available for negotiated sale as well as EIB’s transportation equipment.

Interested parties are invited to submit their offers at the PDIC Public Assistance Center, 3/F SSS Bldg., Ayala Ave cor. V.A. Rufino Street, Makati City. Pending offers, or those which were not processed in view of the 12 May 2017 Order, shall now be evaluated along with new offers that will be received.
