Under Presidential Proclamation No. 358 s. 2003, the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) annually commemorates Depositor Protection and Awareness Week (DPAW) from 16 to 22 June. This observance supports the government's goal to bolster economic growth by further strengthening the public's trust in the Philippine banking system.

During the DPAW observance, banks are enjoined to display the official DPAW banner at their locations and to feature the banner and related materials on their ATMs, in-branch monitors, websites, and social/digital media accounts/pages. Banks are also enjoined to disseminate the informational content and infographics posted on the official PDIC Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) accounts across their social media channels. All DPAW materials can be downloaded from the PDIC website at www.pdic.gov.ph/dpaw and the informational content can be shared directly from PDIC's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/OfficialPDIC.
