BID BULLETIN NO. 1

1. CLARIFICATIONS AND AMENDMENTS TO THE TERMS OF REFERENCE AND FACT SHEETS

   1. The technical specifications detailed in the Fact Sheets are minimum mandatory requirements. Any proposal that is better than the minimum mandatory requirements shall be accepted.

   2. The hardware and software components to be proposed should be compatible with each other and should connect and operate as required in the TOR and fact sheets.

   3. Migration services from the existing physical servers to the virtualized environment should be included in the proposal.

   4. The in-depth trainings to be proposed should be formal classroom-type of trainings. The participants should be issued a Certificate of Attendance and Completion for each of the training components. The bidder may include a 3rd party certification in its proposal.

   5. The trainings shall be conducted after the implementation of the project.

   6. The proposal for LTO5 tape autoloader should include at least 8 pieces LTO5 tape cartridges.

   7. The bidder may choose the best licensing scheme for the Back-up Software for as long as the requirements of the bid are met.

   8. The detailed work-plan specified under Section 6. Implementation Services shall be submitted by the winning bidder upon issuance of the Notice of Award.

   9. The following are the software installed in the 20 servers that will be migrated to virtualized environment:

   10. The MS Windows Server Software version should be compatible with the proposed solution. If the standard version will be sufficient to deliver all the features specified in the TOR, then the standard version will be acceptable.

   11. Bullet No. 2 of Number 2 of Item 4.2.1 – Fact sheet for Virtualization Software is amended as follows:

       4.2.1. VIRTUALIZATION SOFTWARE

       Fact Sheet for SOFTWARE COMPONENTS	MINIMUM MANDATORY REQUIREMENT
       2. Features	Has the ability to move running virtual machines from one server to another, while maintaining continuous service availability with minimum downtime. Minimum downtime must be limited only to switchover/quick restart/reboot from one server to another.

   
   

2. CLARIFICATIONS/AMENDMENTS TO THE INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS:

   1. The opening of bids was moved from May 27, 2011 to June 3, 2011 (Friday) at 9:00 a.m.

   2. Similar contract refers to projects similar to virtualization.

   3. Submission of the bidders commitment to comply with the Technical Specifications/TOR (Bid Form No. 2) shall be considered compliance with the Technical Requirements.

   4. Bid Form No. 4-A (copy attached) shall be included in the submission of the Financial Proposal.
