PDIC slates 3rd batch of Banco Filipino payout

The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) has started the conduct of the third batch of claims settlement operations (CSO) for depositors of Banco Filipino Savings & Mortgage Bank (BF). This covers the 18 remaining banking units out of the bank’s 62 banking units. PDIC had earlier completed the CSO for 37 of the first and second batches of BF branches while CSO in seven branches, including the bank’s Head Office, is ongoing.

The third batch of CSO will be conducted in bank premises and designated CSO sites. Schedule is as follows: Kamias (July 15 to July 27), Puerto Princesa (July 15 to August 5), Davao-San Pedro (July 18 to August 5), Iligan (July 20 to August 10), Zamboanga (July 20 to August 11), Imus (July 21 to August 2), Naga (July 21 to August 9), Dagupan (July 22 to August 10), Iloilo (July 22 to August 9), General Santos (July 25 to August 11), Paranaque (July 25 to August 10), San Pablo (July 25 to August 12), Tacloban (July 25 to August 11), Mandaue (July 27 to August 19), Guadalupe (August 4 to August 17), Laoag (August 4 to August 18), Novaliches (August 5 to August 19), and Urdaneta (August 5 to August 18).

PDIC advised depositors to verify their appointment dates with the announcements posted in the premises of the branches, designated CSO sites and the PDIC website, www.pdic.gov.ph. Appointment dates are based on the priority numbers previously given to depositors during the claims receiving operations (CRO).

The state deposit insurer reminded depositors to bring their accomplished Claim Status Sheets issued during the CRO and the original copy of the two (2) valid IDs presented during the CRO. Depositors who are minors are required to submit the original and clear photocopies of their birth certificates issued by the National Statistics Office or duly certified copies of birth certificates if issued by the local civil registrar. If the claimant is not the signatory in the bank records, he would be required to submit a duly notarized or authenticated Special Power of Attorney executed by the depositor or parent of a minor depositor.

All valid claims with complete documentation will be paid onsite. Depositors who lack supporting document will be requested to submit the necessary documents before they could receive their payments.

Those who failed to file their claims during the CSO period may file their claims at the PDIC Office, 4/F SSS Bldg., Ayala Avenue corner Rufino St., Makati City during office hours starting August 29, 2011.

Depositors have until March 18, 2013 within which to file claims.
