PDIC Announces Payout for First Country Rural Bank (Pasig City), Inc.

The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) started claims servicing and payout for insured deposits with closed First Country Rural Bank (Pasig City),Inc. last week at the Ground Floor, PDIC Building, 2228 Chino Roces Avenue, Makati City from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The servicing of claims will run until April 12, 2011. The scheduled payout forms part of PDIC’s commitment to expedite the payment of all valid deposit insurance claims to First Country depositors.

PDIC advised depositors to observe the appointment date, which is based on the claim number indicated in the Claim Status Sheets. The schedules are posted in the bank premises and at the PDIC website, www.pdic.gov.ph

To ensure payment of claims, PDIC reminded depositors to bring the following on their appointment date: (i) original IDs presented at the time of the filing of their claims; (ii) claims status sheet; and (iii) documents required by PDIC at the time of the filing of their claims.

PDIC also reminded depositors that the processing or payment of all valid deposit insurance claims, including PDIC claim forms, pro- forma affidavits, and other related documents are free of charge. The PDIC advised the public to transact only with authorized PDIC representatives.
