Advisory to Depositors
of Banco Filipino

  1. All depositors with account balances of P5,000 and below, with updated addresses in the Bank’s records and without loans, are NOT REQUIRED TO FILE their deposit insurance claims.

    PDIC targets to start paying these depositors a week after bank takeover through postal money orders (PMOs) that can be encashed in all postal offices and branches of LandBank nationwide. PMOs will be sent through registered mail.

  2. All depositors with account balances of P5,000 and below, without updated addresses in the Bank’s records and with loans; AND all depositors with account balances of above P5,000 are REQUIRED TO FILE their deposit insurance claims.

    Claim Forms will be distributed during the Depositors Forum to be scheduled next week. Various Depositors Forums will be conducted nationwide. The schedules and venues will be announced later.

    Claim Forms may also be downloaded from the PDIC website, www.pdic.gov.ph.

    The schedule of filing of deposit insurance claims will be announced later.
