Closed Bank Vehicle Surrendered to PDIC

The missing 2001 Ford Expedition, listed as an asset of the closed Rural Bank of San Jose (Batangas), Inc., has been formally turned over to the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC), Receiver of the closed RB San Jose on March 10.

In a sworn statement prepared at the Makati City Police Station 4, Ronald Crescencio, the driver of the moss green Ford Expedition with plate number WRZ 159, said that he brought the vehicle to the PDIC Head Office in Chino Roces Avenue in Makati City, upon instruction of Mr. Celso de los Angeles and a certain Mr. Zarry. The statement was prepared with the assistance of Crescencio’s counsel, Atty. Louise Dianne Bejer.

The Ford Expedition was subject of PDIC’s demand letter sent to the Officer-inCharge/Manager of the closed RB San Jose, Mr. Teodoro Comple. PDIC had also previously reported the missing vehicle to the Land Transportation Office.

The vehicle will be subject to inspection and appraisal by the PDIC. Upon Monetary Board approval of the liquidation of RB San Jose, the vehicle will be disposed of together with the other assets of the bank. Proceeds will be distributed to the bank’s creditors.
