PDIC Conducts Depositors Forum in MM, Batangas

The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) is set to conduct three PDIC Depositors’ Forum tomorrow, February 6, 2009, in Metro Manila and in Batangas to prepare depositors of the closed Rural Bank of Paranaque, Dynamic Rural Bank and Rural Bank of San Jose which were placed under PDIC receivership in December 2008, for the claims servicing operations to start next week.

Depositors of the closed four-unit RB Paranaque may attend the Forum at the 3rd Floor of the La Huerta Barangay Hall located in Quirino Avenue, Paranaque City at 2:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, two Forum will be conducted for the depositors of the closed Dynamic RB and RB San Jose. Depositors may proceed to the Covered Court in front of the San Jose Municipal Hall in San Jose, Batangas at 9:00 a.m., or at the Municipal Lounge of the Balayan Municipal Hall in Balayan, Batangas at 2:00 p.m.

PDIC Executive Vice President Imelda S. Singzon, in charge of Claims, Receivership and Liquidation, said that the Forum is a venue for the PDIC to explain the claims processes to be adopted for the payout in RB Paranaque, Dynamic RB and RB of San Jose which is targeted to start next week. PDIC officers will be at hand to answer questions from the depositors.

The PDIC has earlier conducted two Depositors’ Forum in Los Banos, Laguna for depositors of the closed San Pablo City Development Bank and nearby branches of the closed Dynamic RB; and in Tagbilaran City, Bohol for the depositors of the closed Pilipino Rural Bank.

Conduct of Depositors’ Forum is also scheduled for next week in Mandaue City (Mandaue Sports Complex, Mandaue City, Feb. 7, 10:00 a.m.), Bacolod City (Bays Center, Bacolod City, Feb. 9, 9:00 a.m), Dumaguete City (Dumaguete Cathedral Function Hall, Dumaguete City, Feb. 10, 10:00 a.m.) and Leyte (Liga Hall, Palo Muncipal Hall, Feb. 10, 10:00 a.m.).
