PDIC launches “Takbo sa Pagbangon ng Leyte” |
PDIC BENEFIT RUN FOR TYPHOON YOLANDA VICTIMS. The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) officially launched “Takbo sa Pagbangon ng Leyte”, a benefit run on May 4, 2014 at the PNB Financial Center in Pasay City. “Takbo” is part of PDIC’s corporate social responsibility program, in partnership with Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation that aims to raise funds for the construction of shelters for the victims of super typhoon Yolanda. The Benefit Run is being supported by media partners and wellness bloggers. With PDIC President Valentin A. Araneta (5th from left) are PDIC Executive Vice President Imelda S. For more information about the Benefit Run, visit the PDIC website at www.pdic.gov.ph. * * * * * The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) was established on June 22, 1963 by Republic Act 3591 to provide depositor protection and help maintain stability in the financial system by providing permanent and continuing deposit insurance. Effective June 1, 2009, the maximum deposit insurance coverage is P500,000 per depositor. All deposit accounts by a depositor in a closed bank maintained in the same right and capacity shall be added together.
