PDIC conducts terminal payout for the closed Ever Development Bank Co.,Inc.

Depositors of the closed Ever Development Bank Co., Inc. have only until November 27, 2006 to file their deposit insurance claims.

The PDIC announced that November 27, 2006 is the prescriptive date or last date for filing claims. After this date, PDIC will no longer accept any claim for insured deposits from Ever Development Bank Co., Inc. depositors.

Ever Development Bank was ordered closed by the Monetary Board on November 27, 2004. Based on latest data, PDIC has paid P2.99 million in insurance claims, representing 380 accounts. This is 55.96 % of the total estimated insured amount of P5.34 million and 37.51 % of the total estimated deposit accounts numbering 1,013.

Depositors were advised to proceed directly to the lobby of the Municipal Hall, Municipality of Subic, Zambales where PDIC representatives will service claims starting November 20 until November 27, during office hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) except Saturday, Sunday and holidays.

Depositors were also advised to present their original evidence of deposit such as savings passbook, certificate of time deposit, bank statement including unused checks and two valid identifications cards (IDs) with depositor's signature when filing their claims.
