  1. The PDIC led the groundbreaking ceremony for the PDIC-Gawad Kalinga Village in Lawaan, Eastern Samar funded by the proceeds from the PDIC benefit run, "Takbo sa Pagbangon ng Leyte".

  2. PDIC issued the Rules and Regulations Governing Computerized Records of Bank Deposits, a set of regulations on computerized deposit record-keeping to efficiently determine the amount of insured bank deposits and enable prompt and accurate reimbursement of deposit insurance claims.

  3. The PDIC signed a cross-border agreement with the Financial Services Compensation Scheme Limited (FSCS) of the United Kingdom to strengthen cooperation, promote mutual development and improvement, and support regional and global financial stability.

  4. The sequel benefit run, "Takbo 2: Tungo sa Kalusugan, Para sa Kalikasan" was held on May 10, 2015 to raise additional funds that will increase the number of beneficiary-families to the PDIC-Gawad Kalinga Village.

  5. PDIC remitted P2.1 billion in dividends to the National Government for fiscal year 2014.

  6. The IADI Executive Council appointed PDIC President Cristina Que Orbeta as Chairperson of its Audit Committee in June 2015 during the IADI Executive Council meeting in Basel, Switzerland.

1963 by virtue of Republic Act 3591, as amended,
to insure the deposits of all banks. PDIC exists to
