My warmest greetings to the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) as it celebrates its 54^th Anniversary and observes the 15^th Depositor Protection and Awareness Week.

For more than half a century, PDIC has been the primary government agency that safeguarded the stability of the banking industry. By instituting enhanced depositor insurance coverage and advocating financial literacy and vigilance against illegal financial schemes, we have created an environment upon which we can build a more resilient and vibrant economy.

Be assured that I am fully behind the men and women of PDIC in their vision of preserving and maintaining our people’s trust and confidence in the banking system. Working together, I am certain that we can usher in an era of progress and prosperity for our nation.
